Time to roll through Raleigh for those in need

Cranksgiving

It’s time to roll through Raleigh and pickup groceries for those in need this holiday season. Oaks and Spokes has hosted Cranksgiving annually and we love seeing the biking community come together to provide for local charities in Raleigh. We have a full event page put together with all the details you need to know when you come to roll. This year, our efforts will benefit both the Raleigh Rescue Mission and the Women’s Center of the Triangle. In past years we’ve donated a literal TON of food and we hope to keep that tradition going strong again this year.

The event will begin at 11am at Crank Arm Brewing (319 W. Davie Street) with registrations rolling and throughout the day. All participants need to be back to Crank Arm by 1:45pm so that we can do our final weigh ins and award prizes!

Prizes will be awarded for:

  • Team Spirit – Greatest total weight brought back for a team of up to four people
  • Heavy Hitter – Greatest total weight in items brought back
  • Wish List – The most items from our partner’s wish lists (see below)

Can’t attend the day of, or want to help fundraise the entire month of November?

We’ve set up drop-off locations with our partners at CycleLogic + Oak City Cycling Project with boxes for items prior to the in-person event on November 21st.
