Rider Inspiration: Adam Eckhardt

How long have you been riding a bike?

As long as I can remember.

Tell us something inspiring and/or unique about yourself that relates to cycling.

I currently own and operate Crank Arm Brewing Company. I used to run Crank Arm Rickshaw.

What is the biggest accomplishment you’ve made on a bike?

I feel like a bicycle is a tool that has helped me accomplish a lot of things. It’s always been a part of my life whether it’s been recreation, transportation, or a way to make a living. I guess my greatest accomplishment has been integrating cycling into my way of making a living.

What’s the biggest challenge you faced with regards to cycling and how did you overcome it?

Injuries have always been the greatest challenge. When I was a kid it was skinned knees from falling off or shredded shins from cheese grater pedals. When I was in my 20’s getting concussed from high speed, high flying accidents. Now it’s just the aches and pains of getting old.
