Raleigh is experiencing significant growth, with a major portion of that growth projected to occur southeast of downtown. To address this, the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) is currently updating the 2017 Southeast Area Study (SEAS) with the aim of refreshing policies, practices, and providing recommendations for land use and transportation. This update focuses on Southeast Wake and Johnston County, assessing current conditions and proposing regional enhancements for diverse transportation modes, including bicycle and pedestrian facilities. The resulting recommendations will serve the long-term Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) that covers the entire region.
