Hosted by Oak City Cycling Project, Raleigh’s first FrankenBike will be held on Sunday March 3rd, 2013 at Oak City Cycling Project.
FrankenBike (n) - a free bike swap meet held in many cities of the US, that is open to anyone who wants to buy, sell or trade bicycles and bicycle related gear or parts.
The event will run from 10AM-5PM and is free and open to the public.
Setup will start at 9:45AM.
New Belgium Brewing will be on site starting at noon to pass out free beer! Captain Poncho’s Tacos will be pulling up to Franklin Street to feed folks some delicious food and rumor has it they may be bringing some food truck friends with them. Slingshot Coffee Company will open their service window to serve hot coffee as well, so you’ll have something warm to sip on.
Franklin Street (from Person to Blount) will be closed to traffic (9:30AM-5PM) for the day and there will be games and music as well! Vendors can unload their belongings in the Person Street Plaza parking lot – across the street from Oak City Cycling Project on the north side of Franklin Street.
For vendors selling three or fewer items: Don’t have the time to stick around all day? No problem. Make sure your items are well marked with:
1) your lowest asking price
2) your first and last name
3) your phone number
4) your email address
All non-sold items can be picked up at Oak City Cycling Project the following week, Wednesday-Sunday. Items not picked up by Sunday, March 10th will become the property of Oak City Cycling Project or donated to the Durham Bike Co-op.
Vendors selling over three items will need to stay with their belongings all day.
If you would like to participate in this free event as a vendor, please fill out this online form to RSVP. You could walk away with some new stuff, or a few bucks in your pocket. Either way, you’ll be sure to meet some great people and have a lot of fun.
