We are excited to announce that Oaks & Spokes is partnering with New Belgium Brewing in the coming months for a special fundraising campaign. Attend awesome cycling events and drink a pint to contribute! Oaks & Spokes is raising funds for a bicycle counter and will work with the city to have it installed in Raleigh. Yep you read that right, starting now until March 15, whenever you buy a Slow Ride Session IPA, a portion of the sales will be donated to Oaks & Spokes and matched by New Belgium when purchased at the following participating locations: World of Beer – North Hills, Tasty Beverage Company – Raleigh, Boxcar Arcade – Raleigh, Tyler’s Taproom – Raleigh, and Rally Point – Cary. We have some really fun and unique cycling events or “Slow Ride Sessions” coming up.
Mark your calendar for the first session on February 12 and join us at Soul Mating and Bike Dating at the Raleigh Times. You can find love, ride your bike with your sweetheart, or just celebrate the love of bicycles. Get your ticket here to be paired or just show up and ride.
The bicycle counter will help Oaks and Spokes and the City of Raleigh gather data that could lead to more cycling facilities being built in the future, track trends in increased bicycling over time, and promote bicycling in our city. We’re extremely excited about our partnership with NBB and all of the Slow Ride Sessions ahead! (Not to mention they are all going to be a blast.)
Keep a lookout for more to come!
